scheduled to die ONE HOUR before I drove all the way down there in traffic to save their lives.
> > In the first place, this is a RESCUE KENNEL. ?We save dogs from Animal Shelters where kennel cough, parasites, distemper and Parvo are rampant.
Distemper is 99% fatal. ?Parvo is often fatal. ?Kennel cough and worms ARE NOT life threatening. ?Since the incubation period for kennel cough is between three and ten days, there is NO way to know if a dog is going to
come down with it. ?There is no way to know if a dog has a tapeworm unless you seeit in the stool or have a stool sample done. ?Daisy DID NOT have a cough
and there were NO WORMS detected in her stools.
We spends thousands of dollars every month on our vet bills saving these dogs. ?We have THREE VETS and ALL of our dogs are examined by veterinarians before they are adopted. ?NO, xxxxx (xxxx) DID NOT get kennel cough at
Chihuahua Rescue. ?She probably got it at the ABC Vet Hospital where she was spayed. We were very grateful for the donation from your friends and I am sorry
that you regret the help they gave us. Since you consider our $250 donation fee "hefty," obviously don't have a
clue how much it cost to save your dog. ?I hope this will enlighten you. Here's what your "HEFTY" $250 donation fee went to pay for:
1. Phone bill to call the Harbor Shelter to make arrangements to pick her up.
2. Gasoline to drive to San Pedro to save her. ?Gasoline to drive back to Burbank without her, waiting until she is sent out by the shelter to be spayed.

12. $3,000 a month to have anesthesia free teeth cleaning for our dogs (each dog $75)

(I wrote "Little Darlings" in six weeks)
I AM EXTREMELY OFFENDED by your comment, "Chihuahua Rescue is the last place I would want xxxx to go, for fear of what disease she might catch there."
> > Kennel cough and tapeworms ARE NOT DISEASES.
> > How dare you judge and condemn me and my organization because your dog,who you KNEW was rescued from an Animal Shelter, got a cold and had an undetected worm? ?What ignorant and ungrateful people you are! ?I gave up a
successful and lucrative screenwriting/producing career to save over five thousand dogs, while YOU were inconvenienced for a couple of weeks by a coughing dog
and a worm. ?I've spent EVERY penny I've earned writing and producing movies to save animals. ?I continue to spend $10,000 (plus) every month saving
dogs, while you complain about spending $300 at the vet's! ?SHAME ON YOU!!!!!
I pray that xxxxx won't be a victim of your small, petty and self-serving little world! ?Your ignorant condescending attitude is disgusting!
> Volunteer your time and donate money to help these animals instead of whining about a cough and worm! ?It might open your eyes and your heart.
